TYPAR® is celebrating a series of industry award wins recognizing the innovation and impact of TYPAR Clear Acrylic Flashing, the industry’s first fully transparent flashing solution.

Since its debut, the product has rapidly gained acclaim across the architecture, building and construction communities for solving long-standing visibility and inspection challenges during window and door installations.

This year, TYPAR Clear Acrylic Flashing earned top honors from influential product award programs, including:

  • NAHB Best of IBS Awards — Most Innovative Building Material
  • Architectural Record Record Products Awards — Winner, Building Envelope & Cladding
  • LBM Journal Innovation Awards — Recognizing forward-thinking product development in the building supply industry
  • BUILDINGS Product Innovation Awards
  • Architectural Products Product Innovation Awards

“Earning recognition from so many respected organizations reinforces what we’ve been hearing from builders since day one: This product offers a huge leap forward in weather protection and building envelope design,” said Soujanya Muralidhara, Product Manager for TYPAR. “Clear Acrylic Flashing enables visible, verifiable attachment of window nailing fins, helping ensure code compliance and reduce callbacks on commercial, multifamily and residential projects.”

Unlike conventional opaque flashing products, TYPAR Clear Acrylic Flashing is the only flashing on the market that allows installers, inspectors and general contractors to fully see nailing and screw patterns after placement, improving installation confidence and workflow efficiency. Its advanced acrylic adhesive, waterproof durability, self-healing properties and and cold-weather performance, with application in temperatures down to 20°F, deliver construction-ready resilience across climates and project scopes. It is UV-resistant for up to nine months, meets the AAMA 711-22 standard and integrates seamlessly into the TYPAR Weather Protection System with warranty-backed reliability.

“Labor saving innovation is at the heart of what TYPAR is bringing to the jobsite,” said Addison Seay, Brand Manager for TYPAR. “This recognition across the industry underscores our role in delivering products that help overcome real challenges, from code compliance to the labor shortage, while helping ensure better-performing buildings.”

TYPAR Clear Acrylic Flashing is available through construction supply distributors across North America. For more information, visit TYPAR.com or contact your TYPAR representative.
