TYPAR announced that its new Clear Acrylic Flashing received the prestigious Best of IBS Award for Most Innovative Building Material at the 2025 NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS).

Every year, the Best of IBS Awards recognize outstanding products and services in various categories that set benchmarks in design, technology and functionality. TYPAR Clear Acrylic Flashing was recognized by the judges for its ability to simplify and streamline window installation and inspection by giving visibility to nail and screw fin patterns, as well as its advanced acrylic adhesive.

“We are honored that TYPAR Clear Acrylic Flashing was recognized as the Most Innovative Building Material at the 2025 International Builders’ Show. This award underscores TYPAR’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation in building materials,” said Addison Seay, brand manager, TYPAR. “This product was developed with a singular focus—to address real-world challenges faced by builders—providing a solution that enhances visibility, performance and reliability. We are grateful to the NAHB and IBS judges for recognizing the impact of this breakthrough product and to our customers for inspiring us to develop smarter, more effective solutions.”

Unlike opaque alternatives, TYPAR Clear Acrylic Flashing is the only flashing on the market that allows the pattern on the window nailing fins to be completely visible upon installation, ensuring proper attachment and preventing costly callbacks. This is especially advantageous on large-scale multi-family and commercial projects where approval of numerous window openings is required.

The transparency of TYPAR Clear Acrylic Flashing is achieved with TYPAR’s premium, advanced acrylic adhesive that is waterproof, self-healing and able to be applied at temperatures down to 20°F (-6.7°C). With a split-release liner for easy film removal, it makes a once tedious job faster and easier. Clear Acrylic Flashing is also covered by TYPAR’s industry-leading lifetime limited system and labor warranty.

The Best of IBS Awards ceremony took place during IBS, one of the largest and most influential trade shows in the building industry. Organized by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), IBS is attended by more than 76,000 builders, contractors and other building professionals from more than 100 countries each year. Winning this award not only endorses the product’s quality and innovation but also positions TYPAR as a key influencer in the residential construction industry.
