The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute has elected Matt DeVoss as its 2022 chair. DeVoss is president of Jackson Precast in Jackson, Miss. This was just one highlight of a successful 2022 PCI Convention in Kansas City, Mo., March 1-5.
The project involved the exterior restoration and interior gut renovation of a 230,000-ft² historic landmark structure, with the addition of a 60,000-ft² spherical glass and concrete structure to house the 1000-seat David Geffen theater.
The PCI Industry Diversity Committee formed four years ago to provide programming to celebrate women in the precast concrete industry. Its mission is to create awareness around the value of diversity and an atmosphere of inclusivity in the precast, prestressed concrete industry.
The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute has hired Timothy Cullen as the director of technical activities. Cullen will be responsible for technical activities for developing and disseminating the PCI Body of Knowledge necessary for designing, fabricating, and constructing precast concrete structures.
