The event, which takes place January 20-23 in Las Vegas, is a four-day convention that serves as the concrete industry’s largest event for building professionals. Euclid Chemical will be located at booth #S10615.

The newfound educational event—Building Blocks of Success: Promoting Concrete Masonry with Confidence—gives industry professionals the tools and techniques they need to truly shine.  

Each program directly supports one of CMC’s six strategic pillars: marketing and promotion, codes and standards, education and research, concrete masonry outreach, design assistance and educating design professionals.  

Along with its space saving properties, the masonry system’s design improved efficiency on the job site. The pre-assembled blocks eliminated the multiple passes that would have been necessary to construct standard cavity walls.

Grappling with context, history, and appropriateness, the design looked to the building and material typologies of the surrounding 1920s-era warehouses, as well as the masonry and concrete construction found at Huston Tillotson University.

J&G Building Group, Middletown, Del., installed 2,000 square feet of copper anodized Perforated Imaging Dri-Design Panels. For the install, metal Z-furring was attached to the masonry walls of the building followed by a layer of ¾-inch plywood. 

The Alpena County Regional Airport plays a crucial role in keeping this majestic getaway accessible to leisure and business travelers from other parts of the country. Dedicated in 1931, the airfield served as a training facility for fliers throughout WWII and remains home to one of only four National Guard Combat Readiness Training Centers in the United States.
