Kingspan Launches Leo-Klip Fastening System

New fastening solution increases allowable spans by up to 40 percent, reducing material use and installation time

Kingspan Insulated Panels North America, a leader in high-performance building materials, announced the expansion of its Cladding Accessories and Components Line with the launch of the Leo-Klip Fastening System, an innovative accessory designed to enhance the performance and efficiency of its KS Series and Optimo insulated metal panel assemblies. 

Engineered to meet modern construction demands, the Leo-Klip and Leo-Klip+ deliver up to a 40 percent increase in allowable span lengths in single-span applications, enabling faster installation and lower secondary support steel requirements. Simple installation helps to reduce labor demands, increase speed of build, shorten project timelines and lower construction costs – essential advantages in today’s construction market.

Available in two configurations – Leo-Klip and Leo-Klip+ – the system meets a variety of loading and performance requirements. Leo-Klip offers span increases up to 20 percent, while Leo-Klip+ enables up to 40 percent greater spans depending on steel gauge and support conditions.

 

Key features of the Leo-Klip Fastening System include:

  • Increased spans by 19-40% in single-span applications, reducing the need for secondary supports.
  • Universal compatibility with Kingspan’s KS Series and Optimo® panels.
  • One-clip solution for both intermediate and end supports, simplifying installation.
  • Minimized back-fastening, saving on time and labor.
  • No impact on air, water, vapor or thermal performance of panel assemblies.

 

The Leo-Klip system also underscores Kingspan’s ongoing commitment to advancing building envelope performance through innovation and efficiency.
