ATAS International, Inc. has expanded its portfolio by acquiring the assets of Metal Sales & Service, Inc., including the Metalwërks line of architectural metal plate systems. Metalwërks is recognized industry-wide for high performance metal plate exterior facade systems, integrated curtain wall components, and custom architectural features, including column covers and engineered screen wall systems. They have offices in Kennett Square, PA and manufacturing in Elkton, MD. This strategic move significantly expands ATAS’ product portfolio, providing architects, designers, and specifiers with a streamlined, single-source solution for metal wall cladding systems; all available in matching finishes and backed by the same trusted quality.

By integrating Metalwërks’ innovative products into the vast line offered by ATAS, they are now uniquely positioned to offer a comprehensive range of metal panel and plate solutions under one brand. This enhances the company’s ability to meet the evolving needs of the architectural and construction industries, delivering greater design flexibility, consistency, and efficiency. The addition of metal plate wall systems to the ATAS product line will provide architects and building owners with yet another wall cladding choice.

The plate systems, available in aluminum, stainless steel, and zinc, offer robust and customizable wall solutions with superior flatness and strength, which is ideal for large-scale architectural projects.  When combined with other ATAS’ products, including single skin panels (standard, custom, curved, tapered, and/or perforated), metal composite material, and insulated metal panels, a functional and aesthetically pleasing building envelope, or building interior, can easily be achieved.

"Adding architectural plate systems to the ATAS International, Inc. product line is a game-changer for our customers," said Dick Bus, President of ATAS. "By combining our panel expertise with Metalwërks’ exceptional plate systems, we’re making it easier than ever for architects and specifiers to source a full range of exterior metal solutions from a single, trusted partner; all with seamless consistency in finishes and uncompromising quality."

The addition of Metalwërks plate systems also streamlines the specification and procurement process, reducing complexity for design and construction professionals. With a unified product offering, clients will benefit from simplified ordering and coordinated technical support; all from one reliable source.  ATAS remains committed to delivering exceptional products with a focus on precision, performance, and aesthetic excellence. Adding the Metalwërks systems to their already expansive product line further strengthens its position as a go-to partner for architectural building envelope solutions.

Stephen Scharr, President of Metalwërks, stated “The Scharr families and Metalwërks team are all excited to be joining the ATAS team. We now have additional opportunities to reach a larger customer base through their extensive group of sales professionals. In addition, the integration of more bulk materials purchasing, coil coating, and post finishing capacity helps make the Metalwërks product line even more accessible and affordable for additional potential clients. Our decades of experience in this field will be a perfect complement to ATAS’ existing sales and manufacturing resources.”
