Polyglass U.S.A., Inc., a leading manufacturer of roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope solutions, announced the addition of seven new products qualified for use in FORTIFIED Roof™ applications.

The Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) FORTIFIED Roof™ standard is a national benchmark for storm-ready construction, designed to help buildings better withstand severe weather including high winds, hail, and heavy rain. The program was designed to promote best-in-class construction practices that go above and beyond local code requirements to better protect communities all over the country.

To achieve the qualification for use in FORTIFIED Roof systems distinction, the products had to pass rigorous testing and rating requirements.

Joining the growing list of Poyglass’ FORTIFIED Roof-compatible underlayments, membranes, adhesives, and primers are:

  • Low-Slope Membranes: Elastoflex SA P, Elastobase V
  • Adhesive: PG 350
  • Primers: PG 100, WB-3000
  • Self-Adhered Steep-Slope Underlayment: Polystick® PX HT
  • Fire Rated Option: Elastoflex SA P FR

Contractors, municipalities, developers, and homeowners now have more ways to achieve FORTIFIED Roof Designations to enhance resilience, longevity, durability, high-wind resistance, and moisture protection in their roofing systems.

Polyglass products for FORTIFIED Roof systems offer a number of key benefits including:

  • Certified performance with roofing solutions qualified for use in FORTIFIED Roof applications
  • Resilience-focused value that helps differentiate projects and protect against extreme weather
  • Long-term durability designed to outperform standard assemblies in high-risk environments
  • Enhanced credibility through alignment with nationally recognized building science standards
  • Potential cost savings and increased property value from stronger, certified roof systems
  • Resources and support to help communicate the advantages of resilient construction and certified roofing
