Deadline Approaching for ARMA’s 2024 Excellence in Asphalt Roofing Awards Program

ARMA
November 22, 2023

The Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association (ARMA) is reminding roofing professionals and industry enthusiasts that the deadline for submissions to the 2024 Excellence in Asphalt Roofing Awards Program is quickly approaching. Don’t miss the chance to showcase your outstanding asphalt roofing projects and gain well-deserved recognition within the roofing community. Submissions must be received by December 1, 2023.

The competition honors low- and steep-slope asphalt roofing systems across North America that demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship, technical complexity, and sustainability while highlighting the versatility and performance of asphalt roofing materials.

“The roofing industry is home to exceptionally talented professionals who consistently employ creative and innovative solutions for complex roofing challenges. ARMA’s awards program is a testament to celebrating their remarkable project achievements,” stated Reed Hitchcock, ARMA Executive Vice President.

The judging panel will evaluate projects based on four criteria: “Why Asphalt,” “Project Challenges,” “Distinction,” and “Beauty.” Winners must exhibit an unparalleled level of expertise in asphalt roofing, casting a spotlight on the meticulous artistry and top-tier materials used in their respective projects.

Why Participate?

Participating in ARMA’s Excellence in Asphalt Roofing Awards Program offers numerous benefits, including:

  • Recognition – Gain industry-wide recognition for your outstanding asphalt roofing project.
  • Promotion – Showcase your work to industry leaders, peers, and potential clients.
  • Credibility – Enhance your reputation as a leader in the roofing industry.
  • Networking – Connect with professionals who share your passion for quality asphalt roofing.
  • Awards – Winners will receive a prestigious award, a feature on ARMA’s website, extensive media coverage, social media promotion, and recognition at the 2024 International Roofing Expo.

Medal Winners:

  • Gold Medal – $2,000
  • Silver Medal – $1,000
  • Bronze Medal – $500

Best-In-Class Categories:

Aside from the medal winners, the judges may also propose specific projects for best-in-class categories at the end of the evaluation process. The best-in-class winners receive an official ARMA certificate and authority-boosting materials.

  • In the Neighborhood – How color and design choices can elevate the appearance of a typical neighborhood home.
  • Commercial/Mixed Use – Highlights the complexities involved in flat roof projects.
  • Craftsmanship – Blends skill and artistry, showcasing intricate designs and sheer sizes.
  • Technical Difficulty – Emphasizes operational and installation challenges.

Submission Tip Sheet:

When applying to ARMA’s awards program, it’s essential to stand out from the crowd. To help applicants submit compelling entries, ARMA has provided a Submission Tip Sheet, emphasizing important aspects to highlight in your roofing project—technical excellence, project challenges, aesthetic brilliance, customer satisfaction, innovative solutions, and collaborative efforts.

Remember that providing specific details, evidence, and real-world examples in your application is key to making a strong impression on the judges. Following these tips and submitting a well-crafted entry could increase your chances of receiving recognition.

Apply Today:

Don’t miss the opportunity to join the ranks of past winners and have your asphalt roofing project celebrated by industry peers. Submit your project by the December 1 deadline and become a part of the Excellence in Asphalt Roofing Awards legacy.
