Kingspan Insulated Panels North America today announces the Accent Fin, a new joint-integrated accessory that delivers unique aesthetic dimensions when designing buildings with two of Kingspan’s most popular architectural metal wall panels.

The Accent Fin provides architects with a multitude of design options to accentuate the exterior of Kingspan’s insulated metal panel (IMP) building design. The Accent Fin comes in six different shapes: blade, mini-blade, triangle, a-frame, rectangle and flat box. All have a protrusion depth of six inches, except for the mini-blade, which has a depth of three inches. Each fin has a maximum length of 12 feet; however, longer lengths can be achieved using Kingspan’s splice accessory.

The Accent Fin is made from extruded aluminum and is available in all standard Kingspan colors, with custom color options also available.

“We created the Accent Fin at the request of architects who wanted a new way to highlight the lines when designing buildings with IMPs. The new accessory provides architects with greater design options, so they can create metal panel buildings that look as good as they perform,” said Vice President of Marketing Services and Strategy Developments, Karim Muri.

The Accent Fin can be integrated into Kingspan’s KS Series and Optimo insulated metal panels and can be oriented horizontally or vertically, depending on the design. Both systems share a patented double seal integrated joint.

The Accent Fin allows architects to expand on the unique aesthetics for the KS Series panels, which deliver superior thermal performance with various design profiles, including Azteco Embossed, Micro-Rib, Mini Micro-Rib, Mini-Wave and Shadowline profiles, as well as trimless ends and pre-formed corners.

For the Optimo panels, the Accent Fin adds a brand-new design element to a flat architectural panel, which can be produced with a smooth or embossed finish.
