Firestone Metal Products Introduces UNA-FOAM Insulated Metal Panel System at AIA

October 4, 2011

NEW ORLEANS — Firestone Metal Products Company, LLC is introducing the new UNA-FOAM Insulated Metal Panel System at the AIA 2011 National Convention and Design Exposition in New Orleans, La., which opens today through Saturday.

The high-performance system provides significantly higher insulation value than traditional cladding systems while also offering ease and cost of installation.

“Insulated metal panels are a quickly growing segment of the metal cladding market due to their aesthetic appeal, excellent thermal efficiency, ease of installation and overall structural durability. They are an excellent addition to our product line, which includes the broadest selection of systems and material selections in metal wall panel systems,” said Patrick Marcouiller, national sales manager for Firestone Metal Products. “Firestone consistently offers customers high-performing products and services with unsurpassed warranty coverage for the building envelope, and the UNA-FOAM system adds another high-quality option to the company’s comprehensive suite of products.”

Designed for use in architecturally specified projects, UNA-FOAM panels are offered in a range of materials and profiles to meet specific project requirements and unique design needs. The UNA-FOAM system is available in numerous profiles that can be intermixed to compliment other cladding materials or create a desired appearance. The system also offers more than 25 colors and multiple finish options that can be used with existing product lines.

In addition to its aesthetically pleasing characteristics and unlimited design possibilities, the UNA-FOAM system features concealed fasteners, several panel thicknesses and widths, and a variety of reveal options. The panels can be installed horizontally or vertically as a single element, allowing for quicker building completion without compromising the integrity of the system. The system also has a high thermal value, enhancing the overall performance of the building. The UNA-FOAM Insulated Metal Panel System is eligible for coverage under a 10-year Firestone Red Shield Vertical Wall System Warranty, which includes material and labor for the panel system and a selection of exterior weatherization products.

Firestone Metal Products brings over 40 years of experience in metal wall panel systems to the commercial construction industry. Firestone has the ability to match form, function and budget requirements with its full line of metal systems, which includes aluminum composite and plate, honeycomb, insulated and exposed fastener metal wall systems in aluminum, steel, copper and zinc. Through its reliable network of contractors, Firestone offers experienced professionals, quality installations and competitive pricing. Firestone metal wall panel systems can be installed and warranted in conjunction with Firestone single-ply, asphalt or metal roofing systems, providing single-source accountability and warranty coverage for the building envelope.
