January 5, 2009
Roofing professionals seeking intensive, high-energy educational sessions that will take their business to the next level should plan to attend the 2009 International Roofing Expo, Feb. 3-5, in the Shoreline A&B Halls at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Roofing professionals seeking intensive, high-energy educational sessions that will take their business to the next level should plan to attend the 2009 International Roofing Expo, Feb. 3-5, in the Shoreline A&B Halls at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

The 48 in-depth sessions will cover eight educational tracks addressing key roofing segments including technical, workplace safety, leadership/management, green building, legal/HR, money matters, sales/ service and general business.

“Our educational conference program offers a unique curriculum designed to grow skills and enrich personal development,” said Donna Bellantone, Director of the International Roofing Expo. “There is no better opportunity for roofing professionals to learn the best practices in the industry.”

The target audience includes commercial/residential/metal contractors, owners/CEOs/general managers, superintendents/foremen, architects/designers/consultants, salesmen/estimators, manufacturers/ suppliers and building owners/facility managers.

Of the 48 sessions, 92 percent feature new topics with six of last year’s most popular sessions back by demand. Also, 33 of the sessions involve issues relevant to the residential roofing professional, while the Spouse Program offers 28 sessions for the involved spouses who are looking for ways to help manage and grow their businesses.

With sustainability and environmental-friendly roofing growing in demand, the new green building track will teach attendees about energy efficiency, green roofs, solar energy and how the green movement affects the roofing industry.

“The educational conference features the most relevant topics taught by the industry's leading authorities,” said Bill Good, Executive Vice President of NRCA, the show’s official sponsor. “Each session offers educational content that is the best available.”

Continuing Education Opportunities

All 48 sessions have been approved by the American Institute of Architects Continuing Education System (AIA/CES) learning units (Lus) and the RCI, Inc. continuing education hours (CEHs).

In addition, 23 courses have been approved by Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation and the Construction Industry Licensing Board (DBPR/CILB) (Education Provider No. 0003200).

Speakers

Taking place in the South Pacific Ballroom E, the Keynote is free to all show participants, but registration is required. United Solar Ovonic located in booth #1935 sponsors the Keynote Address.
