2014 IRE to Offer Extensive Educational Conference Program

October 15, 2013

DALLAS — Roofing professionals seeking an educational program that addresses emerging techniques, issues and trends may register to attend the 2014 International Roofing Expo (IRE) Feb. 26-28 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Taking place Wednesday through Friday, 44 in-depth sessions will cover topics designed especially for contractors, owners, CEOs, general managers, building owners, facility managers, foremen, superintendents, architects, engineers, consultants, estimators, salesmen, manufacturers and suppliers.

“Education is a vital component to growing your business and being profitable in today’s market,” IRE Director Tracy Garcia, CEM, said. “To help attendees better confront roofing challenges today, attendees can choose from 44 knowledge-building sessions covering best practices, tactics and techniques.”

With 90 percent new topics, sessions will cover OSHA’s new regulatory update, roofing industry update by NRCA’s Executive Director Bill Good, fall recovery procedures, sales boot camp and much more. Forty percent of the sessions are applicable for spouses who help manage and grow their businesses.

Sessions are 90 minutes in length, allowing attendees to schedule their time to derive the most value from the event and ample time on the show floor to find new products, services, technologies and innovations.

Sessions cover eight educational tracks addressing key roofing segments including technical, workplace safety, leadership/management, green building, legal/HR, money matters, sales/service and general business.

All sessions have been submitted for approval by the RCI continuing education hours and Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation and the Construction Industry Licensing Board (DBPR/CILB).

“Not only does the International Roofing Expo showcase the industry’s latest roofing products, services and equipment, it is also where the industry turns for business solutions, education and networking,” said Bill Good, executive vice president of NRCA, the show’s official sponsor.

Registration Savings

All educational sessions are ticketed events and require registration. Advanced pricing of conference registration packages range from $365 to $465 for a Super Pass, $215 to $315 for a Day Pass and $265 to $305 for a Spouse Pass. All conference packages include free admission to the Expo, the Keynote by Frank Abagnale and the Welcome Party at LIGHT Nightclub. NRCA members receive a discount on all packages. Space in sessions is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Online registration is available.
