Arcadis has appointed Phanie Gapinski as Principal of its Washington, D.C.–based hospitality design studio

The new Uptown location brings together Arcadis’s business operations in the city into one space to reinforce the one Arcadis approach.

In his new role, he will lead efforts in sustainable urbanism and design excellence, while expanding the practice, developing top talent, and bridging the disciplines of placemaking and architecture.

Arcadis has welcomed Anna Abreu as Living Practice Principal. Under Abreu’s leadership, the firm will expand its capabilities to design beautiful and impactful spaces across hospitality, multifamily, and mixed-use developments.

Embracing the venue's original architecture, the team methodically removed layers of paint and materials to reveal the space's authentic features.

Long recognized for its engineering excellence and consultancy services, Arcadis is building out its design arm. Key to its growth plans is the strategic hire of six new principals, who signal a new creative era for the firm and the strengthening of its global council for design excellence.
