John Dobson is Henry Company’s Senior Vice President of Research and Development. Since joining Henry in 2012, John heads the company’s efforts in growing its leadership position by developing innovative solutions in air barrier, roofing and waterproofing technologies. Prior to joining Henry, John held various leadership roles including Senior Director of Global Marketing, Strategy and Business Development for Dow Chemical’s Electronic Materials Group and leader of Emerging Technologies at Rohm and Haas. John earned a BS in Chemistry from Miami University (Ohio), a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of North Carolina and completed his postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University.
Silicone coatings for flat roofs have grown rapidly in the marketplace, and are expected to continue this trajectory as the combination of waterproofing, reflectivity/energy savings, durability and rain-readiness properties resonate with both contractors and consumers.
