The metal roof solar project at Grupo Comercial Chedraui sustained severe damage. However, the solar metal roof of its Acapulco store was one of the few that survived the onslaught of wind and rain, attributed to the clamp attachment securing the solar array to the roof, which provided a stronger attachment and may have saved the roof and the entire infrastructure.

The building's striking exterior concealed a troublesome issue - water ponding on the rooftop due to poor drainage and inadequate design, resulting in repeated water intrusion and compromising both the building's integrity and the residents' comfort.

As part of the multi-year project, L&M Roofing Associates, LLC, of Carnegie, PA, was hired to replace about 65,000 square feet of old rubber roofing on the Nova Place Concourse.
