Maintaining the simple, rectilinear gabled form and dark brown hue of the Woodinville distillery, located 160 miles away (in Woodinville), the new complex’s structures are clad in dark metal siding and modified wood.

The project involved the exterior restoration and interior gut renovation of a 230,000-ft² historic landmark structure, with the addition of a 60,000-ft² spherical glass and concrete structure to house the 1000-seat David Geffen theater.

Energy efficiency and clean air were two of the top priorities that drove design. That presented architects with a challenge. They had to figure out a way to bring in fresh air, while keeping the building envelope tight.

The Alpena County Regional Airport plays a crucial role in keeping this majestic getaway accessible to leisure and business travelers from other parts of the country. When the Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Contractors Association designed its new headquarters, they knew it needed to be built with materials that were energy-efficient, code-compliant and long-lasting. To ensure a long-lasting exterior, they turned to coatings and component finishes made with Kynar 500 and Kynar Aquatec PVDF resin.

The new Veterans Affairs (VA) Community Based Outpatient Clinic in San Antonio, Texas, offers patients, medical professionals, staff and visitors an environment promoting health, life-safety and well-being. Representing these principles, Hoefer Wysocki Architecture designed the building's main entry with sweeping curved exterior as a "healing embrace."

The project features 369 luxury apartment units in 11 stories, an attached 725-stall parking structure, and 3898 ft² of restaurant space.

As the first quick-service restaurant in the U.S. to pursue Net Zero Energy Building certification, the new McDonald’s at the Walt Disney World Resort combines Solarban 60 solar control, low-emissivity glass with building-integrated photovoltaic modules, a living wall and operable Jalousie windows to generate more energy than it uses.

Aesthetics and durability in a rainscreen system influenced the design team of Stanec, Houston, to select Dri-Design’s Shadow Series panels for the HCC Culinary Arts building.
