From designing a striking new academic building in Denver, to restoring a classic Stanford White building in the Bronx, to bringing accessibility to the historic University College in Toronto, architects and contractors who completed 19 outstanding projects across the United States and Canada won awards from the Copper Development Association in the 16th annual edition of its North American Copper in Architecture program.
Following an exciting day of live presentations, in which hundreds of shortlisted projects were presented by architectural and design practices from around the world, the first award winners of the 2022 festival have been announced.
Simpson Strong-Tie, the leader in engineered structural connectors and building solutions, announced the recipients of its Student Scholarship, part of the company’s Strong-Tie Undergraduate Fellowship program, for the 2022-2023 academic year.
AIA Detroit introduced these deserving individuals. This year's Recognition Awards will be bestowed upon the winners during the 2022 Celebration of Architecture, at Eastern Market's Shed 3 on September 15th, at 4:30pm.
