Originally constructed in 1971, the 500-foot, 36-floor structure began major renovations in early 2020, which included upgrades to its exterior windows, plaza, and landscaping areas.
To meet the Rainforest habitat’s criteria, the glazing replacement had to support temperatures of between 75°F and 85°F, humidity levels between 50% and 87% and light transmittance of between 54% and 75%.
The team replaced the building’s old roof with a low-maintenance roof garden system designed to alleviate stormwater runoff, extend the life of the roof, and add aesthetic value.
