Benjamin Obdyke, a leading supplier of high-performance building envelope products, now offers BenWrap™ SA, a self-adhered version of its traditional flat wrap, BenWrap™ (previously known as FlatWrap HP). BenWrap SA features 100% continuous breathable acrylic adhesive technology that self-seals around every fastener and penetration, allowing the housewrap to act as both an air control layer and a moisture control layer — simplifying jobsite logistics.
The adhesive is repositionable, enabling faster installation, improved accuracy, optimal labor efficiency, fewer mistakes, and less waste. A split-release liner with finger lift further accelerates installation and ensures better alignment at overlaps, minimizing rework. BenWrap SA’s tri-laminate structure is highly resistant to damage and won’t easily rip or tear during installation.
“The addition of BenWrap SA truly rounds out our wall weatherization lineup, which now includes both mechanically fastened and self-adhered housewrap products in flat-wrap, drainable, and UV-resistant categories, as well as self-adhered and liquid-applied flashing,” said Jessica Pizzo, Brand Manager for Benjamin Obdyke. “These products allow customers to use systems-based approaches throughout the building envelope for projects across every climate, cladding type, and budget — all from one trusted manufacturer.”
For example, BenWrap SA can be combined with high-performance rainscreen products like Slicker® Max and AeroNet™ to create complete, high-performance wall systems. Pairing BenWrap SA with AeroNet or Slicker Max helps ensure optimal performance alongside product compatibility, consistent spacing, reliable drainage, and long-term durability across a wide range of applications.
BenWrap SA has a vapor permeance of 14 and a max UV exposure of 120 days. It comes in 80-foot rolls.
