Lawrence Group Announces New Hires
The firm celebrates new a Talent Development Coordinator, Permitting Specialist in St. Louis, and a Design Professional in Austin, Texas.

Lawrence Group announces the hiring of Talent Development Coordinator Jennifer Proemsey and Permitting Specialist Anna Smick at its St. Louis headquarters, and Design Professional Zhengying Chen, LEED at its Austin, TX office.
Jennifer Proemsey, Talent Development Coordinator
Proemsey joins Lawrence Group with 10 years of experience in human resources, office management and small business practices. Prior to Lawrence Group, she worked as a Human Resources Coordinator for Centene Corporation and as an Administrative Assistant in Innovation and Learning at SSM Health, both located in St. Louis.
She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri - Saint Louis and an Associate of Arts in General Studies from St. Louis Community College.

Anna Smick, Permitting Specialist
Smick joins Lawrence Group as its second Permitting Specialist, supporting the firm’s growing permitting service line and helping deliver a more streamlined project process for retail and food & beverage clients. Her prior experience includes three years as a remote Project Coordinator, then Research Manager for California-based Permit Place. Her roles there included coordinating permitting and leading research operations/permitting strategies for construction, restaurant, retail, commercial development and EV charging projects nationwide.
She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Missouri - Saint Louis.

Zhengying Chen, Design Professional
Chen comes to Lawrence Group with eight years of design experience, which includes Architectural Designer at AECOM in Guangdong, China; internships at Zhihui Architecture Studio in Guangdong, China and Pact Design Studio in Bryan/College Station, Texas; and Architectural Designer at The Davies Collaborative in Austin, TX.
His design experience has focused on residential renovation, hotel and resort, skyscrapers, and commercial complexes.
He has a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Guangzhou University in Guangdong, China and a Master of Architecture from Texas A&M University. He is also a certified LEED Green Associate through the U.S. Green Building Council.
