AIA Awards 2025 Winners Announced in 11 Project Categories

AIA25 celebrated more than 100 award winners, alongside individuals receiving fellowship

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) announced the winners of its 2025 Awards during a prestigious gala held at the Omni Boston at the Seaport Ensemble Ballroom. This highly anticipated red carpet-style event, part of the AIA Conference on Architecture & Design (AIA25), celebrated more than 100 award winners, alongside individuals receiving fellowship.

"Every project honored through these 11 award programs reminds us of the profound impact architecture has on our communities,” said 2025 AIA President, Evelyn Lee, FAIA. “Great architecture is not just about buildings; it is about creating spaces that uplift, connect, and inspire. These winners exemplify how thoughtful design can improve lives and shape a better future for all."

The AIA Awards Gala brought together distinguished architects, industry professionals, and supporters to honor outstanding achievements in the 11 award categories announced during the gala: 

•    AIA/ALA Library Building Awards: AIA is proud to partner with the American Library Association to honor the best in library architecture and design. See the winners here.

•    Architecture Awards: Honoring the best contemporary architecture regardless of budget, size, style, or type. See the winners here.

•    COTE Top Ten Awards: The industry’s best-known award for sustainable design excellence. See the winners here.

•    Design for Aging Review Awards: Honoring innovative design solutions to improve the quality of life for older adults. See the winners here.

•    Education Facility Design Awards: Celebrating state-of-the-art learning environments, including early childhood, K-12, alternative, higher education, and non-traditional environments. See the winners here.

•    Healthcare Design Awards: Recognizing the most innovative, functional, and sustainable projects in healthcare and design. See the winners here.
