CENTRIA Introduces New INTERCEPT+ Powered by NEXGEN Modular Metal Panels

Gateway-Museum- CENTRIA Intercept+.jpg
April 17, 2024

CENTRIA®, a Nucor® company, announced INTERCEPT+™ modular metal panels for exterior walls, powered by NEXGEN Metal Design Systems, a leader in high-performance exterior wall panel design and fabrication. Featuring a modular design, the INTERCEPT+ system offers architects the versatility to incorporate modules of different shapes and sizes for a variety of rainscreen and façade applications. The panels require little to no maintenance and the 100% metal substrate is highly recyclable at the end of its long service life.

“The CENTRIA team is excited to partner with NEXGEN to fulfill the need for performance combined with varied panel shapes, sizes and colors,” said Jennifer Franz, Product Manager. "INTERCEPT+ offers architects and building owners a safe, sustainable and modular cladding design solution to inspire spectacular visual results."

Proven and tested, INTERCEPT+ panels integrate seamlessly with one another and feature full perimeter returns to create an exceptionally flat panel surface with sharp, crisp edges and corner options. Profiles include:

  • ENTYRE™ for a beautifully smooth and flat wall surface.
  • LVLZ™ enables designers to vary panel depth for visual interest.
  • RZR™ allows designers to slope a panel’s depth across the length or width of the panel.
  • HLZ™ offers a perforated panel for screen applications requiring ventilation or a degree of light transmission.

Featuring an extensive range of fade-resistant solid series colors, faux surfaces, anodized surface options and custom colors, these profiles can be tailored to complement the aesthetics of any project.

INTERCEPT+ cladding is lightweight and features concealed fasteners and an integral panel clip, reducing time and labor during installation. The modular metal wall panel system allows for design versatility by incorporating different depths, tapers, slopes, and perforations into an easy-to-install rainscreen. INTERCEPT+ delivers the protection needed in a rainscreen system with an architecturally pleasing exterior façade. The system is ideal for use in a variety of industries including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, office buildings, retail and more. INTERCEPT+ can also be paired with CENTRIA’s MetalWrap backup wall system to create an air, water, thermal and vapor barrier to protect the structure.

INTERCEPT+ products are backed by a 20-year finish warranty and a 2-year workmanship warranty. Full fabrication packages are available. For more information, visit https://centria.com/product-series/rainscreen-systems/modular-metal-panels/intercept-plus

CENTRIA Intercept+ meets the following testing and code criteria:

  • ASTM E-330 (structural)
  • ASTM E-72 (structural)
  • ASTM E-283 (air)
  • ASTM E-331 (water)
