Huntsman to Unveil Ultralok Roofing Foam at IRE 2024

February 5, 2024

Huntsman Building Solutions (HBS), the global leader in high performance, sustainable roofing and building envelope solutions, will unveil Ultralok™, its all-new spray foam roofing system, at the upcoming International Roofing Expo being held February 6 – 8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Visitors of the show are encouraged to visit Huntsman Building Solutions in the exhibit hall in booth #7129 to learn about Ultralok, as well as the company’s additional energy efficient and weather resistant spray foam roofing and coatings solutions.

“We look forward to meeting face-to-face with the country’s roofers and to assist them with their upcoming project needs,” says Keith Stevenson, vice president of sales with Huntsman Building Solutions. “Not only does International Roofing Expo provide an unparalleled opportunity to meet with valued customers, but it’s the ideal venue to introduce an incredible spray foam roofing system to the industry.”

Ultralok closed cell spray polyurethane foam roofing is a 2.8-pound solution specifically designed to deliver a high-performance, fully adhered roofing system that insulates, waterproofs and protects over a variety of roof deck substrates in one easy step. Ultralok creates a monolithic membrane, eliminating the need for mechanical fasteners, and is ideal for low-slope roofing applications in new and retrofit construction. The product conforms to any roof architecture and provides superb wind resistance. Ultralok is also manufactured using recycled plastic water bottle waste and boasts the incredibly low Global Warming Potential (GWP) value of 1.

“The benefits of Ultralok are immense,” says Stevenson. “The system reduces energy costs, increases roof structure racking strength and provides exceptional weather protection, among numerous other benefits.”

Huntsman Building Solutions will also showcase its full suite of spray foam roofing and silicone and acrylic coatings in its booth in the convention expo hall.

These systems are ideal for use over a wide range of roofing substrates and configurations. They provide a seamless, monolithic membrane and watertight seal on the roof, as well as dramatically improve a structure’s energy efficiency and long-term energy savings.

“Our spray foam roofing options are designed to be applied with either our silicone or acrylic based coatings,” says Stevenson. “The coatings are a key component to the total system as they optimize and elongate the life of the roof, protecting it from degradation.”

The combined HBS Foam and coatings solution is ideal for both new construction as well as retrofit applications.
