WAF also represents the world’s biggest live judged architectural awards program, where all finalists present their projects to a panel of judges at the international festival. This year’s shortlist celebrates the best new completed buildings and landscapes as well as the most inspiring future architectural concepts, across 33 categories, ranging from residential, to cultural, to creative re-use.  

“We designed Olympia with the intention to reinspire Dumbo’s renowned waterfront with innovative design and serve as an architectural beacon along the Brooklyn Bridge,” remarks Stephen Hill, Hill West’s founding partner. “Since it opened in 2022, Olympia has become one of the most coveted addresses in Brooklyn and is now applauded on the world stage.”  

Located at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge in the heart of Brooklyn’s vibrant DUMBO neighborhood, Olympia features a striking facade that seamlessly blends modern design with the historic industrial architecture of its historic surroundings. Standing 33 stories high, Olympia is composed of a monumental sail-shipped tower and fan-shaped podium, offering expansive and breathtaking views of the harbor and the lower Manhattan skyline from the highest crescent in the neighborhood.   

The WAF winners will be announced at the live event, which this year will take place in Singapore, at Marina Bay Sands, from 29 November - 1 December.
