Zweig Group’s client, RTM Engineering Consultants, has recently merged with J&M Engineering. RTM is a national multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm and J&M Engineering is a structural engineering firm based in Springfield, Mo.

Founded in 2011, J&M is comprised of a talented team of professional engineers and drafters providing a full range of structural engineering design as well as seismic engineering analysis, forensic investigations, construction administration, and permitting assistance. Serving both public and private sectors, J&M is known for delivering inventive and cost-effective solutions within the commercial, educational, healthcare, government, hospitality, and industrial markets.

“In RTM we have found a group of professionals whose culture is both client and employee focused, and we believe this merger will allow us to grow our existing relationships, forge new ones, and provide even better quality and service moving forward,” said Ben Jennings, principal and co-founder of J&M.

Over the years J&M has built strong relationships with clients and partners within the AEC industry, establishing a reputation of honesty and integrity through a focus on communication, timely coordination, and real-world constructability. Their exceptional work ethic resonates with RTM’s core values and culture.

“With so many commonalities between J&M and RTM, we are confident that this merger will allow us to enhance our capabilities with existing clients, and also provide additional opportunities to our growing team,” said John Miller, principal and co-founder of J&M.

With this strategic merger, RTM is expanding its structural engineering services in the Midwest and furthering its commitment to sustainable growth and the high level of service that its clients have come to expect. Moving forward, the combined team of more than 300 professionals across the country brings added expertise, resources, and additional opportunities to take on new and challenging projects nationwide.

“We are impressed with the work that the J&M team produces and are happy to welcome them to RTM. Combining the two firms’ expertise will allow us to expand our presence and identify opportunities aligning with our long-term growth strategy,” said Tony Mirchandani, CEO of RTM.
