Sto Corp. Announces Organizational Changes

4.jpg
August 17, 2021

Sto Corp., the innovative world leader in facade claddings, air barriers, coatings, and renovation systems, recently formalized a new organizational structure for two of its key business units to respond to the anticipated growth in both areas – rainscreens and prefabrication. Along with the structural changes, Sto also announced the appointment of new leaders for both units.

Tyson Kindstrom, formerly vice president of marketing, is now vice president of the newly formed Industrialized Construction division of the company, which includes Sto Panel Technology. Sto Panel exterior wall panels combine the latest technology and proven products to deliver the most energy-efficient, architecturally versatile facades in the construction industry today, employing a process that saves time, adds value, and improves quality.

“Sto’s newly formed Industrialized Construction division underscores prefabrication’s growing impact on the construction industry, and with his deep industry knowledge and extensive experience at Sto, Tyson is the perfect person to lead this important business unit,” said Jose Berlingeri, president and CEO, Sto Corp. “Construction professionals of every kind realize the value proposition that prefabrication brings to the equation – design flexibility, greater efficiency, and cost predictability that contribute to a project’s bottom line. The use of prefabrication for exteriors and interiors; in panelized, volumetric, and new technologies such as 3D printing are set to grow in the years to come, and Sto is now positioned to respond to that growth.”

Carolina Albano is the newly appointed vice president of StoVentec® Rainscreen®. Officially launched in North America in 2020, StoVentec® Rainscreen® Systems include StoVentec Glass, StoVentec Render and StoVentec for Masonry Veneer Facades. Each delivers a seamless air and moisture barrier, intuitive adjustable sub-construction, continuous insulation, and multiple cladding options, making StoVentec a complete and fully integrated Rainscreen® wall solution.

Albano has extensive experience in rainscreen facades, including serving as sales and technical manager at Porcelanosa where she developed sales and marketing strategy to expand rainscreen sales across the west coast, and at Nichiha as head of technical, working for over a decade with specifiers and contractors to design and develop new products. She managed Nichiha's testing and certifications in China, the United States and Canada. She also served as technical services manager, leading the field service team, developing systems, and managing the architectural and engineering group.

“From healthcare and hospitality to high-end residential construction, rainscreens continue to move up the list in the consideration set for external cladding. Sto is a marketplace leader by offering one complete, fully tested system and one comprehensive warranty,” added Berlingeri. “Carolina brings verifiable, deep experience with rainscreen systems to Sto, adding breadth to our leadership team for a line of business that continues to grow. We’re delighted to have her lead this division.”
