Building Envelope Associates Represents Basanite

breaking news1
February 9, 2021

Building Envelope Associates, independent manufacturer sales representatives, have added Basanite Industries composite reinforcements to product offerings. The Basanite representation will serve the concrete construction industry in South Florida. Basanite is leading infrastructure technology with innovative, non-corrosive composite reinforcements for concrete, to withstand long-term environmental exposure and structural loads.

Reinforced polymer composite materials are well proven in concrete construction and provide the advantages of enhanced structural integrity, strength and longevity over steel reinforcement. Renewable and eco-friendly, Basanite composites are produced from natural basalt fiber reinforced polymers (BFRP) to achieve the highest level of performance.

“Basanite products’ excellent endurance to increase service life aligns with our focus on sustainability,” said
John Massengill, Building Envelope Associates President. “Basanite offers affordable, top-performing composite reinforcements that are truly sustainable, eco-conscious solutions for the concrete industry. We bring value-added products to our customers that last. Basanite is the sustainable answer to the inevitable deterioration of steel reinforcements, occurring over time from exposure to corrosive elements. We are excited to offer a product that effectively eliminates the issue of corrosion, before a problem can start,” said John.

Basanite manufactures BasaFlex BFRP enhanced Basalt Fiber Reinforced Polymer Rebar engineered as a non-corrosive alternative to conventional steel reinforcement for concrete structures. Stronger and significantly lighter than steel, BasaFlex™ is an eco-friendly, green, 100-year life, exceptionally durable product. Basanite also produces BasaMix™ BFRP Fiber Reinforcement and BasaMesh™ Geo-Grid Reinforcement. These basalt fiber reinforced composites are highly engineered to be impervious to water, salt and chemicals preventing degradation. Composite reinforcements meet the requirements for concrete construction standards. They are lighter with greater tensile strength than steel, offer superior stability and corrosion resistance. Basanite composites expedite installation, reduce maintenance and extend structural life.

Basanite Industries has state-of-the-art manufacturing in Pompano Beach, FL with plant capacity expansion planned for this year. Additional international sales operations are conducted through authorized distribution. Basanite composite reinforcement is positioned to become the primary choice in the concrete construction industry due to its advantages, versatility and competitive price.
