International engineering firm Walter P Moore announces two key changes within the firm’s Enclosure Engineering team, which provides a comprehensive suite of services to support the creation, design, detailing, performance, installation, maintenance, and renewal of high-performance building enclosure systems.

Erik Verboon, AIA, Principal, has been promoted to Practice Area Leader of the firm’s national Enclosure Engineering team, which is primarily responsible for a building’s facades, roofing systems, and subsystems, each of which influence aesthetics and life-cycle performance. Erik, who began his career with Walter P Moore in 2016, is also Managing Director of the New York Enclosure Engineering team and is responsible for founding the New York office. In addition to his National role, Erik will continue to lead the New York Enclosure Engineering team and is supported by Jeff Thompson, Gustav Fagerstrom, Noah Burwell, and the entire New York-based team.

Lori Lee, AIA, Senior Associate, assumes the leadership role within the Enclosure Engineering team’s Los Angeles office where she currently serves as the team’s Operations Manager. She has been with Walter P Moore since 2017 and is supported by Soheil Mohammadi, Sarah David, Kais Al-Rawi, and the rest of the Los Angeles-based team.

“These promotions recognize the deep design and leadership talent within our Enclosure Engineering practice that has been growing steadily for 6-plus years,” said Blair Hanuschak, Senior Principal and Executive Director of Walter P Moore’s Structures Group. “The team enhances the multi-discipline, integrated design solutions that our firm delivers to clients around the world.”

Walter P Moore’s Enclosure Engineering team offers expertise across all enclosure design and performance criteria including thermal behavior, acoustics, structure, air and water management, hygrothermal performance, solar reflectivity, heat gain, shadowing, glare, daylighting, and tuning of enclosure systems for optimal HVAC performance.
