TowerPinkster announced an expansion of its management team, adding key positions in the architectural production and mechanical engineering departments as the company continues to grow in all markets.

“In an effort to continue to build resiliency in our departments and cultivate future leaders, we have added these enhancements to our overall management structure,” said President and CEO Björn Green.

Working on a range of projects across the Midwestern region, the multi-discipline firm promoted three team members:

Jon Rumohr, PE, HBDP, LEED AP BD+C, has been promoted to Manager of Mechanical Engineering. Jon has been a member of the TowerPinkster team for 10 years, which gives him intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the mechanical engineering team. Rumohr, a senior mechanical engineer, was recently awarded the Award of Engineering Excellence; the highest award achievable by the international engineering society, ASHRAE. His engineering expertise led him to complete over a dozen LEED projects and secure over a million dollars in energy rebates and incentives for various clients.

Ryan Idema, PE, LEED AP, will take on the role of Mechanical Engineering Supervisor. Idema, a senior mechanical engineer who has been with the company for 12 years, will work with Rumohr to guide the mechanical engineering team in the firm’s Grand Rapids office. Ryan is deeply involved in the Grand Rapids community, serving on the Grand Rapids Public School Academy of Modern Engineering board and acting as a student mentor for the GRPS Academy of Design and Construction.

Kevin Hoezee, AIA, NCARB, a senior project architect, has been promoted to Architectural Production Supervisor. His new role is comprised of overseeing day-to-day operations of the architectural production team members located in the Grand Rapids office. Hoezee, a University of Michigan alumnus, has been with TowerPinkster for 22 years. In his tenure, he has fostered long-term relationships with many clients, including Bryon Center Public Schools, where he is currently working on his fourth bond issue with the district.

“It’s a very exciting time for us to be in a position to make these appointments and to promote some of our senior team members,” said Director of Operations Don White. “Our firm is seeing unprecedented growth and their leadership will help guide our team as we continue to evolve and strengthen our services."

In the past year, TowerPinkster has added structural engineering and technology design to its services, which already include architecture, mechanical and electrical engineering, interior design, landscape architecture, and planning.
