Acoustical Surfaces Inc. announced that the company's Acousticore Micro-Perforated Acoustic Panels has won the Architizer A+Award in the Wall Coverings product category. Acoustical Surfaces' product was considered among submissions from over 100 countries, and was chosen by a jury of the top architects, designers, cultural thought leaders and developers in the industry.

The Architizer A+Awards is the largest awards program focused on promoting and celebrating the year's best architecture and products. Its mission is to nurture the appreciation of meaningful architecture in the world and champion its potential for a positive impact on everyday life. The A+Awards season culminates at a red carpet gala that kicks off the weeklong NYXxDeisgn in New York City, celebrating the architectural industry's celebrities, notable personalities and new visionaries.

"We are humbled to have received this award from a jury of the top influencers in our industry," says JR Anderson, president of Acoustical Surfaces, Inc. "At Acoustical Surfaces, we pride ourselves in developing, constructing and delivering high-quality products and materials to our customers. Our goal is to offer the top products in controlling sound, and this award confirms that our innovation has been recognized."

Acoustical Surfaces' Acousticore Micro-Perforated Acoustic Panels are sound absorbent panels that are engineered to offer an aesthetically-pleasing design, while also providing unmatched acoustic benefits for all types of projects. Acousticore's innovative core technology delivers superior acoustic performance, offering top-tier acoustic surfacing in a lightweight design. The panels are impact resistant and rigid, and come in multiple surface options including wood veneer, vinyl, high pressure laminate and painted to match the interior design of any space.

"The A+Awards gala event was a great way to meet other industry leaders," continues Anderson. "We would like to take this opportunity to thank Marc Kushner and the folks at Architizer for hosting this event and giving us the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals in the business. We are looking forward to using our knowledge to further push the envelope in the business of controlling sound."
