MILTON, Ontario — ROXUL has announced two strategic partnerships with Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) and Sika Sarnafil. These alliances are meant introduce new and innovative commercial roofing systems to the North American market.

Carlisleroofing warranty programs, featuring EPDM and TPO membranes, will now include ROXUL stone wool roof insulation. Products that will be included in the warranty program include TOPROCK® DD roofing insulation with integrated, insulating coverboard and MONOBOARD® insulating coverboard, as well as bitumen coated variations of both of these board products for Carlisle's Hot-Mopped systems with FleeceBACK AFX membranes.

“Energy efficiency and fire safety are huge issues today and will only become more important in the future. Stone wool roof insulation used in a hybrid assembly adds to the performance of polyisocyanurate and EPS (expanded polystyrene), which are two well-known insulation materials," said Brian Le Voguer, vice president, building envelope for ROXUL in North America.

“Carlisle is pleased to include TOPROCK DD and MONOBOARD stone wool insulation in our warranty programs,” said Steve Schwar, director, national sales for CCM. “It will add options for designers and building owners interested in energy efficiency and fire safety.”

Sika Sarnafil roof systems that incorporate ROXUL stone wool insulation provide superior thermal performance, fire resistance and sound absorption. As a component of an approved Sika Sarnafil roofing system, ROXUL insulation is included in Sika Sarnafil warranty programs.  In addition, ROXUL will offer a limited guarantee of 100 percent of the published R-value(s) of the insulation to match the waterproofing warranty up to 30 years.

“We are excited about the momentum that ROXUL roofing products are gaining in the marketplace, and believe it will continue to grow as a result of this new partnership,” said Le Voguer. “Energy efficiency and fire safety are of growing concern year over year, and to partner ROXUL and Sika together brings to the design community the confidence of working with two global leaders that are focused on sustainable roofing solutions.”

“Both companies have a particularly strong focus on energy efficiency and sustainability,” said Stan Graveline, vice president of technical services for Sika Sarnafil. “Stone wool insulation is therefore a natural fit, offering a range of sustainable benefits for our customers.”

These collaborations signal the growing importance of ROXUL stone wool insulation products — especially its energy efficiency, fire resistance, water repellence and sound absorbency — in the dynamic roofing industry.
