The Garland Company, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of high-performance solutions for the commercial building envelope, recently introduced a very low odor version of its Energizer liquid-applied restoration membrane product. The new product, Energizer LO, is a fast-curing, asphaltic polyurethane membrane designed to restore smooth-surfaced SBS, APP, and built-up roofing systems, significantly delaying tear-off and replacement costs. It provides an extra 65 to 78 dry mils of waterproofing and UV resistance to an aging roof system. It’s very low levels of VOC make it ideal for schools, food processing facilities, and anywhere that odors would be a problem. Application of Energizer LO is very fast and simple. It can be applied with brush, squeegee, or spray, without disruption to a building’s occupants. Because Energizer LO liquid-applied membrane is fast-curing, a reflective coating can be applied within 15 to 30 days, which is significantly less than conventional restoration solutions.
