Nonresidential construction input prices increased 1.8% for the month

Construction input prices increased 1.7% in April compared to the previous month, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Producer Price Index data released.
On a year-over-year basis, industry employment has grown by 44,000 jobs, an increase of 0.5%

The construction industry added 33,000 jobs on net in January, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of data released today by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Producer prices fell in August, but construction input costs climbed as metals and diesel rose. With jobs revised lower, contractors face uneven pressures closing out 2025.
