For 40 years, the Canadian Conference on Building Science and Technology has brought together building science researchers, educators, designers, material suppliers, and practitioners to exchange ideas on the future of this ever-evolving field. Submitted papers have expert peer review.

Accepted papers are published and will form part of reference materials cited by others for decades. Each conference has earned a strong reputation as a leading showcase for advances in research, teaching, design, construction, renovation, repair, and operation of and about buildings and building enclosures.

With the theme of Building Innovation, Imagination, and Integrity this year’s conference will bring together leaders from across Canada and around the world to explore how we can design, maintain, and operate buildings in ways that support healthier indoor environments and reduce impacts on the natural environment through new materials, innovative construction techniques, and forward-thinking approaches.

CCBST 2027 invites abstracts across three broad topics/streams. Authors are asked to select the stream that best matches the contribution being presented — not necessarily their professional background or job title. All abstracts must include a short practical takeaway that clearly identifies what attendees will be able to apply in their own work.
