The Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI) announced that registration is now open for the 2026 PTI Convention. Scheduled to take place in Long Beach, Calif., from May 4-7, 2026, this premier industry event will serve as the centerpiece of the Institute’s year-long 50th anniversary celebration.

Founded in 1976, PTI has dedicated five decades to advancing the safety, quality and efficiency of post-tensioned concrete construction. This year's convention offers a unique opportunity for engineers, contractors and industry stakeholders to honor this legacy while engaging with the latest technical developments in the field. The event will feature a robust schedule of technical sessions, committee meetings and exclusive networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration and professional growth.

Attendees can look forward to a special 50th Anniversary Gala and a series of commemorative events. A highlight of the social calendar is the Post-Tensioning Research Fundraising Mixer, held aboard the historic Queen Mary on Wednesday, May 6. This ticketed event supports vital industry research and offers guests a tour of the legendary vessel’s "Steam and Steel" exhibits followed by a reception on the Verandah Deck.

The convention schedule also includes the highly anticipated Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, May 5. This event will recognize the winners of the Member Contribution Awards, honoring individuals who have made significant impacts on the institute and the post-tensioning industry.

Throughout the week, participants will have access to numerous technical sessions covering topics such as PT repair, strengthening and bridge design, alongside committee meetings and an exhibition hall. There will also be a site visit for students to provide the next generation of professionals with real-world exposure to post-tensioning applications. The schedule, sponsors and exhibitor floorplan are all available on the PTI website.

Also, everyone, whether they are attending the convention or not, is encouraged to visit the official PTI Anniversary Lands’ End store to purchase branded 50th-anniversary apparel and merchandise.

Registration for the 2026 PTI Convention is now open. Industry professionals are encouraged to secure their attendance early to participate in this milestone for the post-tensioning community. For more information and to register, visit www.post-tensioning.org.
