Three Wishes for Ruby’s Residents, a youth-led nonprofit organization in Harrison, AR that fulfills small wishes for nursing home seniors, received a much-needed new roof for its community center thanks to GAF, North America’s largest roofing and waterproofing manufacturer, and Harness Roofing, Inc.

When the building’s aging roof became a growing concern, local contractor Harness Roofing, Inc. stepped in to help with installing the new roof. Utilizing materials donated by GAF, the team installed a fleece back thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) overlay, providing long-term protection for the community center.

“Giving back to the community has always been an important part of who we are at Harness Roofing,” said Justin Harness, President of Harness Roofing, Inc. “By partnering with GAF, we were able to use our expertise to make a real difference for a vital local organization. Supporting Three Wishes for Ruby’s Residents, especially here in my hometown, was incredibly meaningful for our entire team.”

The new roof will allow the Three Wishes for Ruby’s Residents Community Center to reopen its doors, welcoming back seniors and children who come together to learn, create, and share timeless skills in a space that connects generations.

“We’re beyond grateful for GAF and Harness Roofing’s incredible generosity and support,” said Amanda Chitsey, President of Three Wishes for Ruby’s Residents. “This is so much more than just a new roof, their kindness is helping us keep our mission alive and move forward faster than we ever expected. We’ll be back inside and serving our community again very soon.”

This collaboration is part of GAF’s social impact initiative, GAF Community Matters, which is focused on making a positive difference as neighbors and partners in the community by leveraging roofing expertise, resources and products to help build resilient communities.
