Kingspan Insulated Panels North America Launches KingRib Wall Insulated Metal Panels

New wall application for KingRib metal panels brings design, efficiency and durability to today’s construction projects

Kingspan Insulated Panels North America, a leader in high-performance building materials, launched its KingRib® Wall insulated metal panels (IMPs), the latest addition to its portfolio of advanced building solutions. Designed to meet the evolving needs of modern commercial construction, KingRib 3 and KingRib 5 offer a seamless combination of form and function.

Modern construction is focused on balancing both performance and aesthetic appeal – one of the biggest challenges for architects. The external profiles of the new KingRib Wall panels feature external trapezoidal ribs every 20 inches for the KingRib 3 and every 10 inches for the KingRib 5. The repetition of this motif creates powerful patterns that extend visual continuity on a facade, enhancing its aesthetic appeal and adding character.

Both the interiors and exteriors of these panels can be customized with stucco or non-embossed finishes. Available in a variety of finishes and colors, KingRib Wall panels are perfect for architects and contractors seeking a trapezoidal ribbed finish combined with the durability and efficiency required for commercial buildings.

Available in 2.5-, 4-, 5- and 6-inch thicknesses, KingRib Wall IMPs provide high thermal performance with R-values up to 7.2 per inch (compared to industry-standard R-values) and excellent foam-to-foam contact at the joint. This innovation ensures that KingRib Wall IMPs offer top-tier thermal performance, meeting stringent energy codes with fewer materials.

KingRib Wall panels are designed for fast, efficient installation, reducing labor hours compared to traditional multi-component systems. The panels’ self-aligning overlapping joint simplifies sealant application, and the panels arrive pre-assembled, further cutting down construction time and project costs.

“At Kingspan, we’re committed to continuously evolving and expanding our product offerings to meet the changing needs of the industry,” said Karim Muri, Vice President of Marketing Services and Strategy Development at Kingspan Insulated Panels North America. “Kicking off the new year with the launch of our new KingRib Wall panels is just the latest example of our dedication to providing innovative, high-performance solutions that drive efficiency and aesthetics in modern construction."

Built to withstand harsh environmental conditions, the new KingRib Wall panels also offer long-lasting protection against the elements, helping to minimize maintenance and ensure the structural integrity of buildings for decades.

Applications for the KingRib 3 and KingRib 5 include warehouses, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, cold storage, automotive plants, data centers and more.
