Corgan Expands National Design Presence with Acquisition of Renowned New York Firm Cooper Robertson

Corgan, a leading global architecture and design firm, announced the acquisition of Cooper Robertson, the acclaimed New York–based practice known for its influential work in architecture, planning, and urban design. This strategic move expands both firms’ opportunities — providing Cooper Robertson the scale and resources to extend its reach, while broadening Corgan’s expertise across public, cultural, and educational environments. Together, they will advance a shared vision of delivering visionary, place-making projects that enrich the built environment and the communities they serve.

For more than four decades, Cooper Robertson has shaped spaces that connect people and place as designers of the Gateway Arch Visitor Center; as executive architects for the recently completed Studio Museum in Harlem and the Princeton University Art Museum; as master planners for Battery Park City and Hudson Yards’ urban design framework; and as architects and planners of numerous cultural, educational, and waterfront projects. Known for design and deep connection to community and place, the firm’s legacy aligns with Corgan’s vision to design for impact, shaping environments that foster connection, innovation, and resilience.
