Schenkel Shultz, a leading Central Florida architecture and interior design studio, has completed the design of the Osceola Tech Library. Slated to open in October 2026, this transformative project will expand digital access, elevate educational opportunities, and deepen community connectivity for residents of Osceola County.

Strategically located near NeoCity, Central Florida’s first and rapidly growing technology district, the 10,820 square-foot facility will serve as a civic anchor for a region built around innovation. Designed to provide a technology-rich environment, it will empower residents with access to emerging opportunities.

A CareerSource Central Florida resource center housed within will help equip residents for in-demand careers in the local community. Reflecting its mission, the building’s design draws inspiration from the circuitry of a computer board. Interior ceiling forms and finishes trace the circuit pathways, while the exterior’s patinaed materiality evokes the layered language of digital sensors. A transparent glass curtainwall wraps exterior skin, enhancing visibility and establishing a distinct civic identity from every approach.

A flexible plaza will host public gatherings and events, while an adjacent courtyard will offer picnic tables shaded by solar-powered canopies with device charging stations. The site’s integration with nearby bike paths and bus drop-offs includes new bike racks to support multimodal access from the existing networks.

The facility will provide future-ready resources, including VR and AI coding labs, laser engravers, 3D printers, Telehealth access points, multipurpose training rooms, and collaborative maker spaces designed to foster innovation and multi-generational learning.

Partially funded by the Multi-purpose Community Facilities Program (MCFP) grant, this project will serve as a model of community-driven technological innovation, reflecting Osceola County’s commitment to advancing education, workforce development, and equitable growth.
