Cortec Rolls Out Revamped MCI Brochure for Next Era of Infrastructure

As part of this rebranding effort, Cortec has consolidated its MCI brochures into one

Cortec® announced a refreshed brand identity for its MCI® (Migrating Corrosion Inhibitor™) product line, modernizing its visual presentation while maintaining the core elements that have made MCI® a trusted name in corrosion protection for over 30 years. As part of this rebranding effort, Cortec® has consolidated its MCI® brochures into one, ensuring that all essential information is available in a single, easy-to-navigate resource.

Start with the Basics

The primary focus of MCI® is on solving the problem of corrosion in reinforced concrete in order to help structures last longer and promote greater sustainability. This involves understanding how corrosion works, what it costs (both financially and environmentally) and how MCI® technology slows the process down. The new brochure uses insightful graphics to help tell the larger story of corrosion protection before branching into specific strategies.

Four-in-One Guide to MCI® Solutions

The new MCI® brochure brings together four corrosion-fighting product categories into one place, creating a convenient introductory guide to MCI® solutions for anyone new to the technology. These four pathways to extended service life and enhanced sustainability include the following:

  • Admixtures
  • Topical Treatments
  • Repair Mortars
  • Specialty Products

Each product line is explained in depth, with key test results highlighted throughout the brochure. A product application guide in the middle of the brochure ties everything together by recommending specific products for use at three different stages of structural service life:

  • Stage 1: New Construction
  • Stage 2: Existing Structures (No Visible Corrosion Damage)
  • Stage 3: Existing Structures (Visible Corrosion Damage)

Each stage includes a list of case histories that exemplify the use of MCI® in projects from around the world. Another page set apart for concrete repair captures the five steps of Cortec’s High Performance Repair System (HPRS®), previously highlighted in its own HPRS® brochure, but now conveniently kept in one place alongside other MCI® technologies.

Are You Ready for a More Sustainable Era of Infrastructure?

Corrosion in concrete structures is a problem that affects us all but is often left in the hands of building owners, contractors, and engineers who select what materials to use. The decision to try a new strategy starts by understanding the seriousness of the problem and how a unique technology could improve the situation. Cortec’s new MCI® brochure addresses that need by explaining what concrete corrosion and MCI® are all about, bringing the many facets of MCI® into one place for handy reference. If you’re ready to take the next era of infrastructure in a more sustainable direction, check out the new MCI® brochure today and share it with the engineers in your life!
