Ankrom Moisan announced the promotion of Michael Great to Vice President of Architecture. Great steps into this leadership role, succeeding Murray Jenkins, who was recently named President. As part of the succession plan established by the firm’s founders, this advancement underscores Ankrom Moisan’s ongoing commitment to being a top design firm and an exceptional place to work.

"Murray has set a powerful precedent for collaborative leadership, laying the foundation for the strong, creative, and innovative culture we have today,” said Michael Great. “My goal is to build upon that legacy, scaling Ankrom Moisan’s impact, amplifying the systems in place, and driving even greater creativity and operational excellence.”

Building on Ankrom Moisan’s integrated architecture and interiors model, Great will enhance collaboration across the firm, deepen community engagement, and expand mentorship and professional development opportunities. Central to his vision is investing in people—creating clear pathways for career advancement, fostering a culture where team members feel creatively fulfilled and empowered, and launching a firmwide workforce development initiative to identify skill gaps and nurture emerging leaders. His immediate priorities include refining project workflows to boost creativity, minimize repetitive tasks, and provide real-time performance insights.

"Michael brings both vision and experience to this role, and I have full confidence in his ability to guide Ankrom Moisan through its next stage of growth," said Murray Jenkins, President of Ankrom Moisan. "As Vice President of Architecture, Michael will lead the firm’s long-term strategy to strengthen design principles, optimize workflows, and prioritize diversity and mentorship—elevating both creative excellence and internal culture."

Great began his career with Ankrom Moisan 25 years ago as an intern, working across multiple design studios. He has since held key positions, including Project Designer, Managing Principal, and most recently, Design Director of Architecture, giving him a deep appreciation for the integration of design excellence, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and business strategy that will guide his leadership as Vice President.

"This is a rare and meaningful opportunity to influence how we design, lead, and evolve as a firm," said Michael Great. "What drives me most is shaping a culture that champions creativity, accountability, and innovation in equal measure. These values will be the foundation as we continue to grow and redefine the future of Ankrom Moisan."
