Dörken Systems Inc. Announces Upgrades to Air and Moisture Barriers

DELTA has enhanced its air—and water-resistant barriers to mitigate the risk of damage during project delays

Dörken has made their air and water-resistive barriers even more durable than ever before. Thanks to a recent technological update, DELTA® has enhanced its air—and water-resistant barriers to mitigate the risk of damage during project delays. This is welcome news for architects and contractors because they offer unique yet critical benefits.

For architects, more durability gives confidence that projects won’t be compromised during construction while protecting a structure's exterior aesthetic. It also provides higher performance and reliability for contractors while meeting and exceeding building codes.

Dörken’s DELTA barriers provide upgraded protection against air and moisture infiltration, making your projects more resilient, cost-effective, and easier to manage.

DELTA-VENT S and DELTA-VENT SA barriers are now more durable than ever. Manufactured using thermal polyurethane liquid, these barriers offer increased UV protection, and longer allowable exposure times of up to one year, mitigating the risk of damage before a building’s exterior cladding is installed.

This change in composition allows the air barriers to better handle the stresses and movements in building materials over time. Plus, despite this increase in durability, DELTA-VENT S and DELTA-VENT SA remain lightweight and more tear-resistant, making installation much easier.

DELTA ‘s Specially Engineered Air- and Water-resistive Barriers Boost Design Flexibility in Open Joint Cladding with 25 percent More Exposure

Designing with open joint rainscreen cladding? Recent testing of DELTA air- and waterresistive barriers has opened creative possibilities for architects. Now, more DELTA-FASSADE S and DELTA-FASSADE SA surfaces can be exposed in open-joint cladding systems, proving them to be more durable than ever.

Specifically, the DELTA-FASSADE S and DELTA-FASSADE SA can now cover 50 percent of an open-joint cladding facade, a 25 percent increase from the previous limit of 40 percent. With the increased allowed exposure, these barriers provide architects with more design flexibility, enhancedproduct performance, and added reliability.
