TYPAR® will debut several new building envelope product innovations at the 2025 International Builders’ Show (booth C4915) February 25-27 in Las Vegas. Organized by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the International Builders’ Show (IBS) is the largest annual light construction show in the world, with last year’s event drawing more than 76,000 builders, contractors and other building professionals from more than 100 countries.

Chief among the company’s product innovations is TYPAR Clear Acrylic Flashing, the first and only fully transparent window and door flashing on the market. This game-changing innovation earned recognition as a finalist for the Best of IBS Awards, which are awarded annually during the show and celebrate the most innovative and impactful products and solutions in the residential construction industry.

Developed in response to emerging code changes requiring better visibility of the nail and screw fin patterns during window installations and inspections, TYPAR Clear Acrylic Flashing helps builders and installers ensure proper window attachment and prevent costly callbacks. Its benefits go beyond greater visibility, too, with an advanced acrylic adhesive that ensures excellent waterproofing and UV resistance while maintaining flexibility for long-term performance.

“Being recognized as a Best of IBS finalist is a testament to our team’s commitment to innovating and meeting the evolving needs of builders and contractors,” said Addison Seay, TYPAR brand manager. “The new Clear Acrylic Flashing is a perfect example of how we’re listening to our customers and developing solutions that make their jobs easier while enhancing performance. This year’s product lineup at IBS showcases our commitment to creating advanced weather protection products that deliver unmatched durability, reliability and efficiency for both residential and commercial projects.”

Another new addition to TYPAR’s growing line of flashing products is TYPAR Liquid Flashing. Formulated for applications like window installations, joint membrane detailing, and air barrier components in new and existing wall assemblies, TYPAR Liquid Flashing is a premium, gun-grade, elastomeric liquid flashing perfect for both residential and commercial construction. It is easy to apply with gunnability down to 50°F and easy to tool for fast application and neater joints. TYPAR Liquid Flashing is paintable, stain-resistant, cures within 48-72 hours with 40 minutes tack-free open time, and bonds to most surfaces and building materials without the need for a primer. Furthermore, it's covered under the TYPAR Weather Protection System Limited Lifetime Warranty, providing peace of mind and, more importantly, superior protection from all the elements.

TYPAR will also debut its newest building wrap, TYPAR Commercial Peel & Stick, which combines the versatility and easy installation of the company’s peel-and-stick building wrap with the enhanced performance of its toughest commercial-grade building wrap. TYPAR Commercial Peel & Stick adheres easily to a variety of substrates and can be installed in any direction, plus it provides all the benefits of TYPAR Commercial Wrap, like 12 months of UV resistance and exceptional tear strength.

Rounding out TYPAR’s new product introductions is a new spray adhesive that will give builders a versatile tool to keep projects on schedule even in the coldest conditions. When used as a primer under TYPAR flashings or self-adhered building wraps, TYPAR Spray Adhesive provides reliable adhesion down to 10°F. This mighty adhesive is also great for bonding to tough-to-stick-to surfaces like concrete, metal and gypsum.

TYPAR wraps, along with TYPAR flashings, construction tape and sealant, work as a part of the TYPAR Weather Protection System. The system provides the perfect balance of water/air holdout and moisture vapor transmission while impacting the building’s overall energy efficiency. When installed together, the complete TYPAR Weather Protection System is covered by the only lifetime limited warranty in the industry including both materials and labor.
