Founder of Amy Baker Architect, an architecture and specification consulting firm established in 2018, she has made significant contributions to the architecture, engineering, and construction industry, advancing the practice of building enclosure design.

With over 20 years of experience in commercial construction, Amy specializes in project management, specification writing, and construction administration. Her extensive work with more than 40 firms nationwide, including the completion of over 25 guide specifications and 250 architectural specifications, highlights her expertise in delivering durable, energy-efficient buildings.

As a Registered Architect and Specifications Consultant, Amy is a vital member of multiple industry associations, including serving on the Board of Directors for the Building Enclosure Council (BEC-GD), the Detroit Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), and the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA). Her involvement with RIB SpecLink’s Product Innovation Advisory Board further demonstrates her commitment to improving industry standards and practices.

Amy’s leadership is characterized by her calm and steady presence in meetings and committees, where she promotes knowledge sharing and encourages innovative solutions. Her focus on energy efficiency, sustainability, and building science aligns with industry goals, including the 2030 Challenge, as she works diligently to enhance specifications for better building performance.

In addition to her professional achievements, Amy is recognized for her educational contributions, organizing top-tier events for SCIP and the BEC Detroit, which foster learning and collaboration within the AEC community.
