NELSON Worldwide Enhances Team with Strategic New Hires and Promotions

NELSON Worldwide, an award-winning architecture, design, and strategy firm, is excited to welcome six new members to the team and announce the advancement of three individuals, each of whom support the company’s mission of transforming the human experience through design. 

“At NELSON Worldwide, our team comprises exceptional individuals who are dedicated to delivering transformative experiences,” says John “Ozzie” Nelson, Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at NELSON Worldwide. “These recent hires and promotions highlight our team’s commitment to advancing NELSON’s industry presence and crafting dynamic, adaptable spaces that meet the evolving needs of our clients.”

The addition of these new team members will strengthen NELSON’s current ability to innovate purposefully for a better tomorrow. Learn more about the new hires below: 

  • Dana Boyte has joined the team as Business Development Leader, Civic & Justice taking on responsibilities for end-to-end business development, from initial prospecting through the lifecycle of the client’s relationship with the firm. Boyte’s strategic vision and client-centric approach are expected to grow NELSON's market presence and drive long-term success.
  • Sharon Elder has joined the team as Project Leader, Retail, where she will use data integration and analytics to inform decision-making and optimize NELSON’s project portfolio. Motivated by the power of design to make a meaningful impact on communities and individuals, she will collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • April Goshe has joined the team as Studio Leader, Technical Director, Workplace, where she will utilize her diverse expertise in commercial architecture to create industry forward experiences that align with NELSON’s client business objectives. A strong advocate for leading change, Goshe will leverage her exceptional technical background in project processes, technical standards, and refinement.  
  • Ann Kimball has joined the team as Studio Leader, Retail, where she will generate human-centric design solutions for retail, financial, and hospitality developments, building powerful brands through environments and experiences. Kimball’s extensive professional background is rooted in creating impactful and custom-fit experience design for retail environments.
  • Gregory Lehman has joined the team as Design Leader, Civic & Justice. In his new role, Lehman will utilize his diverse skillset in further developing NELSON’s presence in the Northern California Civic and Justice market. Throughout his career, Lehman has acquired expertise in various areas including architectural design, project management, budget and schedule control, sustainable design, and building positive client relationships.
  • Carina Lui has joined the team as Studio Leader, Mixed-Use. In her new role, Lui will oversee business development to secure domestic, and international projects, provide leadership in design and management, as well as grow and mentor the team. She possesses a diverse range of national and international experience across multiple industries, such as mixed-use, office, retail, life sciences, aviation, maritime, residential, wellness, and hospitality.


Three additional team members have been promoted within their roles, exemplifying NELSON’s core values and passion for success. Learn more about the promotions below:

  • Anna Carlson has been promoted to Marketing Manager, Sales Marketing, where she will oversee the operations of the Sales Marketing team while participating in strategic planning and alignment of the team’s ongoing efforts against practice goals and objectives.
  • Jeff Cumpson has been promoted to Senior Director, Business Development Strategy, where he will work with practice leadership, Sales Marketing team, and Sales Enablement team to drive strategy around the firm’s business development efforts to continue growing into the industry. 
  • Stephanie Rodriguez has been promoted to Marketing Manager, Sales Marketing, where she will oversee and coordinate all aspects of complex, high-profile pursuits and support and guide Sales Marketing Coordinators in their efforts.
