Polyglass Celebrates 20 Years of Revolutionary ADESO Technology Transforming the Roofing Industry

January 18, 2024

Polyglass U.S.A., Inc., a leading manufacturer of roofing and waterproofing solutions, proudly celebrates two decades of innovation and excellence with its groundbreaking ADESOÒ Technology, marking a transformative journey in the roofing industry.

Since its introduction in 2004, Polyglass ADESO Technology has redefined the roofing installation techniques, setting new standards for time efficiency, safety, durability, and versatility throughout the industry. Our ADESO line of membranes and underlayments are a revolutionary system featuring self-adhering modified bitumen technology. It has transformed the way roofs are built and protected with our notable FASTLap® and SEALLap® Ultra technologies, forming a customizable, dual-asphaltic compounds allowing for convenient and cost-efficient installation. Additionally, we provide comprehensive warranty programs to ensure the long-term safeguarding of your projects for years to come.

ADESO has brought significant advantages to the roofing industry, including:

Efficiency – Due to our innovative APP or SBS designs, ADESO self-adhered membranes are incredibly quick, easy, and cost-efficient to install without the need of torches, extra adhesive, or primer.

Safety – Self-adhered membranes are among the safest types of waterproofing systems to install. They do not require the use of open flames like torch-down roofs do. This eliminates the significant risk of fire, and no toxic fumes are produced during the installation process.

Durability – Roofing systems made with self-adhered membranes are extremely durable and can hold up against extreme weather conditions. Even with basic maintenance, self-adhered membranes can last at least 20 to 30 years and are easy to repair should any problems occur.

Versatility – Self-adhered membranes can be augmented with a range of patented features that can fit an array of surfaces, allowing them to adapt to the specific needs of various roofing conditions and building projects. It also allows for a wide variety of surfacing options, providing solution for both low-slope and steep-slope roofing systems.

In celebration of the 20th Anniversary of ADESO, Polyglass is delighted to host a series of events, webinars, and initiatives throughout the year. These activities aim to showcase the impact of our notable technology, celebrate accomplishments, and articulate our goals for the future of building.

“Polyglass is thrilled to celebrate the 20th anniversary of our ADESO Technology,” said Natalino Zanchetta, President & CEO of Polyglass, “This revolutionary technology continues to redefine roofing standards, keeping Polyglass at the forefront of innovation. We look forward to continuing to develop industry solutions to enhance product offerings to our customers.”

Our ADESO Self-Adhered technology is available on most Polyglass modified bitumen APP and SBS self-adhering roofing systems as well as all Polystick underlayment products.

We are excited to expand on our technology as the industry grows and provide exceptional waterproofing solutions for our clients' unique needs.
