Leading architecture and interior design firm FCA announced a new slate of promotions, in recognition of each individual’s commitment to upholding the firm’s guiding principles and serving its clients with world-class design solutions. The elevations include the appointment of two new principals.

“These promotions are an investment in the passionate and talented members of our team who will help shape the firm’s future,” says FCA President Aran McCarthy, AIA, NCARB. “As FCA approaches its 70th year, I look forward to seeing how these individuals will continue to uphold the core values upon which the firm was founded while advancing the possibilities of design.”

The individuals promoted to principal are as follows:

Chip Hemphill, AIA, RA, NCARB, CDT — Throughout his 17 years at FCA, Chip has contributed his technical acumen and understanding of complex structural systems to the development of innovative and efficient design solutions. In his new role, Chip looks forward to mentoring and advancing the technological skills of junior staff members, while continuing to support quality assurance and control across design teams. During his career Chip has brought his expertise to a range of challenging healthcare projects including the MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper University Hospital and the Cancer Center at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.

Stephen Jouflas, AIA, NCARB — A valued member of FCA for 10 years, Stephen possesses a strong combination of technical knowledge and interpersonal skills that he brings to his relationships with all clients and colleagues.
