SprayFoam 2022 Convention & Expo Announces Keynote Speaker

November 17, 2021

The Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) today announced it has secured Shawn Van Dyke as keynote speaker for the SprayFoam 2022 Convention & Expo to be held February 28 through March 3 in San Antonio, Texas. A construction business expert, coach and author, Van Dyke will present All-Star Creator: How Employees and Employers Create a Culture that attracts Top Talent, a session designed to provide attendees with a framework for attracting and creating an all-star team amidst the skilled labor gap. Van Dyke’s keynote will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 08:00am CT at the largest annual U.S. event dedicated to Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF).

“This keynote is expected to pack the house,” says Rick Duncan, executive director of the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance. “Shawn Van Dyke is a widely respected construction business expert and author and his session topic couldn’t be more timely. The spray foam and construction industries are both experiencing a deep labor shortage and attracting quality talent and assembling effective teams is top-of-mind with everyone.”

Shawn Van Dyke authored two books: Profit First for Contractors and The Paperwork Punch List. He believes construction business owners should be as good at business as they are at their craft. After twenty plus years of owning and operating multiple construction businesses, this became the impetus for his development of a system-by-system framework to help construction business owners grow in a purposeful, profitable way. He now works with construction business owners, executives, and managers globally. Shawn Van Dyke is also founder of the Built to Build Academy® which creates confident construction business owners through business training and coaching programs.

“The construction industry has done a poor job of giving up-and-coming generations a reason to pursue construction opportunities as well as a clear path for doing so,” says Van Dyke. “My session is designed to give company owners and employees ideas for building a culture that attracts talent from both within and outside the industry.”

The SprayFoam Convention & Expo brings together industry participants in insulation, roofing, specialty applications, and related equipment. Attendees explore the latest developments in Spray Polyurethane Foam including solutions for maximizing energy efficiency, weather resiliency and performance in residential and commercial construction. The latest spray foam materials solutions are featured. Attendees also navigate opportunities and challenges affecting their business and the industry, learn about installation best practices and engage in meaningful networking opportunities with industry leaders, customers and peers.

In addition to the keynote address, the event features numerous educational sessions, a robust exhibits hall, the SPFA Professional Certification Program, an annual Golf Tournament, VIP events, and an entertainment-filled Close-Out Event Party. The SprayFoam Show 2022 will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center located at 900 E. Market Street in San Antonio. For schedule and hotel information, visit https://www.sprayfoam.org/sprayfoam2022.

The SPFA thanks Huntsman Building Solutions, Platinum Sponsor of the 2022 event, in addition to the following event sponsors and partners: Gold Sponsors General Coatings Manufacturing Corp, Universal Polymers Corporation, Thermoseal and Honeywell; Silver Sponsors BASF and Carlisle Construction Materials; Bronze Sponsors International Fireproof Technology Inc. and Natural Polymers; NIE Award Sponsors Arkema and Evonik; Premier Media Sponsors Sprayfoam Professional, Sprayfoam, Roofing Contractor, Walls & Ceilings and CoatingsPro magazines; Media Sponsor Roofing magazine; and Industry Partners Spray Foam World Wide, Silicone Expo, NRCA and International Roofing Expo.
