Architectural Glazing Professionals (AGP), Inc. of Grandview and Nixa, Missouri, has earned North American Contractor Certification (NACC), becoming the first glazing contractor in the Kansas City metropolitan area to earn the credential. NACC is an ANSI-accredited, award-winning certification that empowers architectural glass and metal contractors to adopt standard best practices for business, safety, and quality. By attaining NACC, AGP demonstrated its commitment to processes and procedures that consistently deliver high quality project results.

“We constantly pursue the advancement of our industry and betterment of our company,” said AGP Director of Operations Eric Schindler. “We recognized NACC as a process that would provide us with best practices to improve our operations and quality. NACC set a higher bar that will benefit our industry, our company, and our customers.”

“All of us at AGP are proud of our company, our people, and what we do,” added Senior Vice President Dan Hankinson. “NACC allowed us to bring in someone with industry expertise to review our operations under a microscope. NACC confirmed that we are a well-organized and well-run company, and still provided us with many tools to expand our ability to provide a safe and productive environment for our employees and a quality-driven product to our customers.”NACC-AGP Leadership

The AGP leadership team, including Schindler, Dan Hankinson, and President Sherry Hankinson, worked with NACC administrators to undergo a series of rigorous assessments and to implement standard written documents including a quality management system (QMS). To maintain certification, AGP will be reevaluated annually to confirm its business and glazing practices remain best-in-class.

Glazing contractors can earn the NACC credential in one or more of six operational categories based on the company’s focus of work. AGP earned NACC in all six categories: interior and entry systems, building envelope low-rise, building envelope high-rise, active glass, guardrails, and service work.

According to NACC Program Administrator Jeff Dalaba, “NACC recognizes contractors that utilize industry best practices for installation, giving peace of mind to building owners, design professionals, general contractors, and insurers. NACC reduces stakeholder risk by providing verified evidence of a contractor’s adherence to the highest industry standards and best business practices.”

Certified contractors report improved and better controlled processes, reduced waste, fewer mistakes, lower costs, improved training, and more engaged staff because of the NACC program. Since its 2015 launch, NACC has gained industry acceptance for raising the bar of quality. When it earned certification in October 2021, AGP became the 43rd glazing contractor in North America and second in Missouri to attain the credential.
