Owens Corning Names 2021 Certified Energy Expert Award Winner

Johnny Williams
July 12, 2021

Owens Corning®, the industry’s leading provider of advanced insulation solutions, has named Johnny Williams of Wood Insulating Company, Inc., based in Anderson, South Carolina as its 2021 ExCEEd on the Job Award Winner. The honor is provided annually to Certified Energy Expert® (CEE) professionals who have consistently exceeded the program’s standards and practices with services dedicated to customer satisfaction, quality and excellence.

This year’s honoree was nominated by Dodd Wood, the owner of Wood Insulating. “The Owens Corning CEE program and awards are a great incentive for our workers,” said Wood. “Johnny embodies the program’s standards, going above and beyond to give something extra to every project. We’re not only proud of the job Johnny’s done, but also the way he has inspired everyone here with this achievement. Humble, gracious and dedicated, Johnny has shown what’s achievable when things are done right.”

“I love this job,” said Williams. “At 73-years-of -age, it keeps me going. The people at this company are like my family. I’m honored that they nominated me for this award. It just shows what you can achieve when you put your heart into your work.”

The Owens Corning ExCEEd on the Job award was developed to recognize the excellence and fine workmanship of insulation installers who uphold the high-quality standards set by the Owens Corning Certified Energy Expert (CEE) program. As elite insulation contractors and energy performance consultants, CEE professionals are trained to help optimize the comfort, noise control and energy efficiency of any home or building with advanced solutions based on decades of scientific research.

In addition to winning the 2021 ExCEEd on the Job Award at Wood Insulating on April 29th, Williams was also named the program’s quarterly winner in Q4 2020. For these efforts, he received a $1,000 Visa Gift Card and an all-expenses paid trip to the Annual National CEE Meeting in 2022, where he will be honored for his achievement.
